Deputy Consul General Kun Lu attended the ceremony and gave a speech. Deputy Consul General Kun Lu indicated in his speech that this building is the Chinese community building in the mid-west, and the school and center will play an important role in educating Chinese language and Chinese cultures. He also commented St. Louis modern Chinese school a famous Chinese language school in the mid-west of the United States. He also thanks those who helped to reach the dream by generous donations and volunteers service by local St. Louisians.
