According to Part E (The Charitable Lead Trust), Section 2(a)(iv) of the trust set by Tony Shen and Colleen Shen, the allocation of the trust fund has the following provision:

Ten percent (10%) thereof to Organization of Chinese American, St. Louis, Missouri, to establish or add to an already existing building fund to be known as “The Tony C.Y. Shen and Colleen N.H.Y. Shen Building Fund”.

When our school bought the building, Organization of Chinese American, St. Louis, Missouri, decided to use the fund in the trust toward to the cost of the building.

Dr. Anthony Shen is the son of the Tony and Colleen Shen was present at the opening ceremony. The local newspaper stated “我的父母(已故沈氏基金创办人(沈崇育和俞乃環)一定非常欣慰” to summary his speech in the opening ceremony. His whole speech is quoted below.

Good afternoon,

It is a great honor to represent my Mother and Father and my two bothers as the Shen family.

Mom and Dad unquestionably would be proud of the way their contributions were used to enrich the St. Louis Chinese Community.  The use of the funds to build culture and education is a great honor to their memory.

Congratulations for a job well done.
