Note on sponsor level determination:
In determination of the sponsor level for a person or a family, we have used the total amount donated by her/him, donated by someone else on her/his behalf, or contributed by her/his company on her/his behalf through any matching programs available. By donation, it will mean any of these types of the contributions.
We have included all donations either in cash, check, or in in-kind donations with receipts, no matter whether the donation is earmarked for a particular program or a special purpose. But if a donation is earmarked, we would generally require that at least half of the amount would be for general bulding purposes if applicable.
Since it is too complicated to determine the price for a used item (in-kind), we could not recognize any individuals in a sponsor level, but we try to put them down on a separate list (Other Sponsors) with the donation items indicated. For priceless items, they are so valuable that we could not determine their price either. We put them on a separate list too. For both categories, we would not be able to determine a plaque.
Note on Applicable Dates:
Only donations made between 10/1/2011 and 12/31/2012 are used for plaque and to be recorded in the building book, “The Memories of the Dream”.
Note on sorting orders:
All the lists in this section are based on the information as of the date the list is initially compiled. Each list is sorted in order by donation amount (descending order) first and then by the donation date (ascending order). However, the order might be determined as of September, 8th, 2012 for some lists. The donations made after this date might be added at the end of each applicable list.
Note on the List of Individual Fundraising Credits:
For the list of Individual Fundraising Credits, we try to document any fundraising effort that results in a successful contribution to our dream. We did not include the effort to get company matches in these lists. Instead, the information on company matches is presented in a separate section for Dream Teams as a team effort. We also do not include the ones by the 2012 board Chair (Liu Jing), the 2012 Principal (Liu Shen) and the 2012 fundraising committee chair (Guodong Li). These three individuals are supposed to do it and they are almost on all of them.
But it might be hard to allocate the credit. If you think you are one of those individuals that should be on the list, please feel free to let us know as long as it is not too late for the final publication.
